AnAI (CEO Kim Young), a startup specializing in AI dubbing translation and sound source generation technology, announced that it has recently recruited CMO Kim Tae-rae, formerly of CJ ENM, and is accelerating efforts to expand marketing and attract new customers.
Background of Founding for AI Dubbing Innovation
AnAI’s CEO Kim Young, a Doctor of Music, has conducted in-depth research on AI-generated music and media music. While watching Korean content with his Canadian wife, he noticed that dubbing was often unnatural or subtitles were frequently unavailable. Consequently, CEO Kim founded AnAI to provide AI-based dubbing and translation solutions that can more effectively introduce Korea's excellent content to the world.
Launch of ‘VOIX’ and Service Expansion
While much of Korean content is currently provided with a focus on subtitles, there is a strong preference for dubbing in overseas markets such as North America and Europe. To address this, AnAI officially launched its AI dubbing solution, ‘VOIX,’ in 2025 following beta testing in 2024. ‘VOIX’ provides a fast and convenient dubbing service and supports high-quality premium services by introducing native QC (Quality Control) to minimize the mechanical sounds and errors often cited as drawbacks of existing AI dubbing.
Patent Acquisition and Technological Innovation
AnAI recently obtained a patent for a technique to remove vocal components from sound source data based on multiple processing units. Through this, the company plans to further refine its AI-based sound processing technology and provide content creators with a higher level of audio solutions.
Recruitment of Former CJ ENM CMO and Global Market Expansion
AnAI recruited CMO Kim Tae-rae, formerly of CJ ENM, to strengthen its content expertise and launch a full-scale push into domestic and international markets. Through this, the company plans to conduct strategic marketing and sales activities to promote AI dubbing technology not only in Korea but also in overseas markets.
In January 2025, the company provided English AI dubbing services for the popular YouTube channel ‘Team Illusion Rho Sung-yul’ (8 million subscribers) of the MCN company Soon Ent, which received great acclaim. Building on this momentum, the company plans to expand various global content partnerships.
Overseas Expansion and Future Plans
AnAI plans to establish a Japanese branch within 2025 and use it as a foundation to further expand its influence in the global market. Based on its differentiated technology and content expertise in the AI dubbing market, the company is expected to grow as a leader in the global spread of Korean content by providing optimal solutions to domestic and international content creators.
CEO Kim Young stated, “I hope that excellent Korean content will become widely known abroad through high-quality translation and AI dubbing.”
