AnAI Selected for KSPO’s ‘Sports Accelerating Support Program’… “Eyeing AI Sports Broadcasting”

2026.06.09 | AI POST

Full-scale expansion into the sports industry with innovative AI-based real-time sports broadcasting technology

AI-based startup AnAI has been finalized as a supported company for the ‘2026 Sports Accelerating Support Program,’ jointly promoted by the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation (KSPO) and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

KSPO recently announced that it selected this year’s new target companies based on their technological competitiveness and growth potential in new sports industry sectors, such as AI and data-driven services. This program is designed to discover innovative technology companies within the sports industry and support their commercialization and market expansion, with the specialized management handled by the global accelerator Y&Archer Co., Ltd. AnAI was included in the support pool in recognition of its potential for sports media innovation based on AI technology.

AnAI has been expanding its business in the global content market based on its proprietary technology accumulated in AI-based dubbing, voice synthesis, and multi-language content localization. In particular, based on its own voice AI and real-time language processing technology, it has secured both content production efficiency and global scalability, drawing attention as a next-generation media tech company.

In this sports accelerating project, the company presented a strategy to expand its existing AI content technology into the sports industry. The structure involves the AI analyzing and processing vast amounts of sports information—such as match data, player records, tactical analysis, and historical data—in real time to provide it in the form of natural broadcasting and commentary. Moving beyond simple voice synthesis, its key feature is the implementation of a generative AI-based sports broadcasting engine that understands the flow of the game and situational context.

AnAI also presented a plan to go beyond simple technology commercialization and innovate the media accessibility and content distribution structure of the sports industry as a whole through this project. In particular, it plans to expand the application of AI-based automated broadcasting and commentary technology to areas where real-time broadcasting and content distribution were previously limited due to the burden of broadcasting production costs, such as youth sports and semi-professional leagues.

The AI sports broadcasting system under development by AnAI combines real-time match data analysis with AI caster and AI commentary technology, allowing for a drastic reduction in broadcasting production costs compared to traditional methods. Through this, it is expected that real-time broadcasting and global transmission will become more easily available even for sports that previously received lower levels of attention, regional leagues, and school or youth matches.

The company explained, "The existing sports media market had limitations where broadcasting was concentrated only on certain popular sports due to high production costs and a structure centered around specialized personnel." They added, "Utilizing AI technology can significantly lower the barrier to entry for broadcasting infrastructure, which can directly lead to the growth of the overall sports industry, including the expansion of the sports participation base, the influx of new fan bases, and the revitalization of regional sports."

They further stated, "We plan to expand the scope of AI technology application beyond our existing content localization business into the sports and live media fields, kicking off a full-scale entry into the global sports tech market."

Meanwhile, KSPO’s Sports Accelerating Support Program is an initiative that supports the commercialization, investment linkage, and technological advancement of promising sports startups, and the selected companies will receive accelerating and commercialization support until the end of this year.
