In conjunction with the agreement, the Research Institute of New Media (RINM) at Sangmyung University announced the hosting of the "1st New Media Research Contest" to vitalize research in the field of AI media technology. The contest will cover research topics such as the AI media industry, audio technology, and AI copyright, and is scheduled to be held twice a year.
Winning papers will receive prize money, support for journal publication and patent applications, and reviews for potential industrial application of the research results. The plan is to build an academic-industrial research ecosystem where university research results lead to actual industrial technology.
Industry experts evaluate this cooperation as a significant academic-industrial model where a company and a university simultaneously pursue joint research and talent cultivation in the field of AI audio technology.
An official from AnAI stated, "AI-based media technology is a field directly linked to the global expansion of the content industry. Through cooperation with the university, we plan to simultaneously strengthen R&D and talent cultivation while continuously enhancing our competitiveness in AI audio technology."
